K&D Factory Service has been providing factory authorized kitchen equipment parts and service to the businesses of Reading, PA and the surrounding areas since 1945!
Commercial refrigerators should be serviced at least twice a year, preferably once before the summer season and again before the winter season. However, the frequency of servicing may depend on several factors such as the age of the equipment, usage patterns, and manufacturer's recommendations. Regular servicing can help identify and address potential issues before they become major problems, extend the lifespan of the equipment, and improve energy efficiency, which can save on energy costs. A professional refrigeration technician can perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting the system for leaks or other issues.
There are several reasons why a commercial refrigerator may not be blowing cold air:
- Dirty coils or condenser: Dirt and debris on the coils can reduce the efficiency of the refrigeration system, causing it to work harder to maintain the temperature.
- Low refrigerant levels: If the refrigerant level is low, the refrigeration system will not be able to cool the air properly.
- Damaged or malfunctioning components: Components such as the compressor or thermostat can malfunction, causing the system to stop blowing cold air.
- Poor ventilation: A lack of proper ventilation can prevent air from circulating properly, which can affect cooling efficiency.
It's recommended to call a professional refrigeration technician to diagnose and repair the issue to avoid further damage to the system.
A commercial gas oven may not heat up if the pilot light is out, the gas supply is disrupted, the thermostat is malfunctioning, or the igniter is faulty. It's recommended to have a professional technician inspect and repair the issue to avoid further damage to the oven.
