Arrived at location on 1/20/23 - Upon arrival I had Bryan show me where the walk in is. I first thought the call was for a frozen evaporator, however they advised me that they shut the unit off at the breaker because it was freezing their wine bottles and other product inside. Box was at 25. I checked the thermostat and found it wasn’t sending anything to the unit. Removed old thermostat and installed new one. Powered unit back on and set the thermostat for 38 degrees. Watched unit satisfy and made sure temperature reading was accurate. Unit is working properly at this time.

Walk-In Freezer Unit had a lot of ice build up on inlet side of coil and fan was stuck it ice. Deiced unit with torch and turned back on. waited for unit to get below 20 and checked defrost and heater which all worked. Superheat was high. Need a new Sporlan EFSE-1/2-ZP. Called United Hbg and it will be there tomorrow. 1/31/20 removed old expansion valve after removing 5 lb of 404a. installed new expansion valve, pressure tested with nitrogen, ran deep vacuum and put 5 lb of 404a refrigerant back into system. box came down to temp in cycled off. Pressures look good. 2/3/20 Compressor was noisy when I arrived but the box was cold. I closed the receiver and the compressor took a while to pump the system down. I checked the amp draw after opening the receiver and it was a little lower than it should be. It sounds and acts like the compressor threw a piston rod. It is still cooling for now but the compressor should be replaced. I will quote replacement.

per customer, cook line right fryer gas hose leaking. Found hose kinked and melted and leaking. Replaced gas hose, tested okay. All three fryer hoses configurations have two swivels installed. All three swivels on fryers only swivel horizontally not allowing hose to droop downward without kinking. Advised customer to insure hoses are "laying" correctly when dryers are pushed back in. Removed all three swivels, reseal and re-orientated for proper hose "lay". Electronically retested all for leaks, none detected.

Poured 2 pitchers of water for Walk-In Cooler into the drain pan and it drained out quickly. I felt the bottom of the drain pan and it was dry, the drain line was the same. There was water sitting on top of the insulation which covers the drain line. The suction line runs above the drain and was missing insulation so it was sweating and dripping onto the drain line. I insulated the suction line and expansion valve to eliminate that problem. I can't find anything else at this time.

Came out to look into quoting customer to add a 2nd booster Under-counter Dishwasher. Customer complaint is not maintaining final rinse temp. Checked over unit, adding another booster is not a viable option. Checked over and found that pressure entering steam generator is too high and too much water is passing through with out giving it a chance to exchange heat through the heat exchanger. Per Danny at MFG PSI should be 10-15, 20 max psi. Currently PSI @50. Pressure regulator is bad, it is also leaking. Danny ID'd part. Customer will call if they want us to order part and repair. Danny also stated that unit has a 70 deg rise.
